"間接検定材料牛1,524頭を用い,ロース芯内の異なる領域における脂肪と筋肉の特徴を画像解析を用いて調査し,その遺伝的パラメータを推定した.ロース芯を慣性主軸で4分割し,各象限の脂肪交雑の量,形状および色に関する6形質を画像解析で得た.脂肪面積割合については,3および4象限(34.97,36.22%)が1および2象限(33.36,33.91%)に比べて高い値を示した.ロース芯内側におけるあらさ指数と最大あらさ指数は外側よりも高く,反対に細かさ指数は低かった.3象限のあらさ指数および最大あらさ指数の遺伝率(0.31,0.21)は,他象限よりも高く,4象限(0.18,0.12)では低かった.最大あらさ指数のロース芯全体と3象限間の遺伝相関(0.71)は相対的に低く,ロース芯全体の最大あらさの改良は,3象限に対しては効率が悪いことが示された.各象限により脂肪交雑の形状的特徴の遺伝様式が若干異なることが明らかとなった.本研究の結果を脂肪交雑の配置バランスの改良に利用されることが期待される.",
