The survey, measuring consumers’ evaluations of the advantages of improving feed self-sufficiency in beef production using Best-Worst choice experiments, was conducted in March 2008 (n=618) in the Tokyo metropolitan area of Japan. The analysis of the survey data suggests that the respondents can be divided into three categories by the evaluation patterns, but all the respondents thought that "Improvement of safety of cattle feed\" was the most important aspect of improving feed self-sufficiency.
