The PCR method was compared with fluorescent antibody test(IFAT) in order to evaluate the diagnosis effciency for B. caball infection in horses. Of 142 field samples from Mongolia, 28(20%) and 96(69%)samples were identified positively by PCR and IFAT, respectively.
