Liver flukes isolated from cattle and water buffalo were initially sorted as F. gigantica or F. hepatica, and crude proteins were extracted and subjected to SDS-PAGE. Cattle had the preponderance of F. gigantica, while F. hepatica was the dominant species in water buffaloes. Co-existing cattle and bubaline fasciolids revealed similar protein profile suggestive of a close genetic relationship. The distinct heavy bands shared by co-existing bubaline F. hepatica and F. gigantica relative to those detected in cattle fasciolids suggests a host species-related influence. Between cattle and bubaline F. hepatica, six bands (220kDa, 150kDa, 115kDa, 67kDa, 34-37kDa, 30kDa) were bubaline-specific; between cattle and bubaline F. gigantica, four bands (212kDa, 150kDa, 70kDa, 30kDa) were bubaline-specific, while only three bands were shared (150kDa, 67-70kDa, 30kDa) by bubaline F. hepatica and F. gigantica. Current molecular findings represent the first in the country, where fascioliasia is prevalent. Confirmation of these results entails protein profiling of extracts of freshly-collected individual worms alongside extracts of infected and non-infected liver tissue samples, to mark out host-derived proteins. Its surveillance in susceptible host species in farms around the country, jointly with analysis of morphological and morphometric data of co-existing fasciolid species is highly recommended.","subitem_description_language":"en","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_2_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"National Research Center for Protozoan Diseases","subitem_publisher_language":"en"}]},"item_2_rights_15":{"attribute_name":"権利","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_rights":"National Research Center for Protozoan Diseases","subitem_rights_language":"en"}]},"item_2_source_id_11":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AA10824856","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_2_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"09174427","subitem_source_identifier_type":"PISSN"}]},"item_2_subject_21":{"attribute_name":"日本十進分類法","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"649","subitem_subject_scheme":"NDC"}]},"item_2_version_type_20":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"De, Vera M.E","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"3075","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Sato, K","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"3076","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Oyong, G","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"3077","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Claveria, F.G","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"339","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"},{"nameIdentifier":"9000005630237","nameIdentifierScheme":"CiNii ID","nameIdentifierURI":"http://ci.nii.ac.jp/nrid/9000005630237"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2018-01-30"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"v19-1-9.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"330.5 kB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"v19-1-9.pdf","url":"https://obihiro.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/1460/files/v19-1-9.pdf"},"version_id":"21e0b5dc-7cb1-44a2-aeb3-01e616293c0e"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"cattle & carabao Fasciola spp","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"protein profile","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"SDS-PAGE","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Philippines","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"journal article","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"Comparison of protein profile of co-existing Fasciola hepatica and Fasciola gigantica parasite in Bos taurus (cattle) and Bubalus bubalis (Philippine water buffalo)","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Comparison of protein profile of co-existing Fasciola hepatica and Fasciola gigantica parasite in Bos taurus (cattle) and Bubalus bubalis (Philippine water buffalo)","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"2","owner":"12","path":["20"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2009-10-01"},"publish_date":"2009-10-01","publish_status":"0","recid":"1460","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Comparison of protein profile of co-existing Fasciola hepatica and Fasciola gigantica parasite in Bos taurus (cattle) and Bubalus bubalis (Philippine water buffalo)"],"weko_creator_id":"12","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-08-22T06:38:42.419908+00:00"}
